This study investigated the perception of the elderly towards the Universal Design accessibility and circulation provisions in their living environment and how these provisions enhance their livability within the spaces in these homes. This research was carried out in a survey of the elderly residents (n=90) living in three selected old people’s home in Lagos state, Nigeria. The findings suggested that all accessibility and circulation provisions in the living environment of the residents in old people’s home are important. However, some of the accessibility and circulation provisions were perceived to be more important than the others. The findings in this study suggested that all the accessibility and circulation parameters based on universal design should be considered in the design of old people’s home in other to enhance the livability of the elderly in these selected homes.
