Research and development activities at the Nigerian Building and Road Research Institute has yielded various results which include evolution of planning and design guidelines, development of alternative building materials and construction technologies. The Yankatsari demonstration building in Kano, Nigeria, provided the Institute an opportunity to implement some of its R&D findings
