Heavymetals find theirwayintosurfaceandgroundwaterdueto
degradingenvironmentalconditions,andassuchconsistentmon-
itoringtoavoidtheadversehealthimplicationsassociatedwiththe
consumptionofpollutedwaterisrequired.Thisstudyexaminedthe
concentrationsforLead(Pb),Nickel(Ni),Zinc(Zn),Chromium(Cr),
Cadmium(Cd),Copper(Cu)andArsenic(As)intheSurfacewaterof
RiverBaloguninOta,OgunState,Nigeriaduringthewetseasonand
estimatedthehumanhealthriskresultingfromprolongedcon-
sumptionbychildrenandadultofdissimilaragegroupswithout
treatment.AlthoughtherewerepersistentoccurrenceofNickel(Ni),
Copper(Cu),Zinc(Zn)andArsenic(As)inallstationssampled,the
healthriskassessmentconductedrevealedthatbothpopulation
groupsaremorelikelytobeaffectedbyhighconcentrationlevelsof
ArsenicthananyotherHeavymetalpresent
